Expressing an Opinion 1 - revised

Should we use the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment? People in the world have different opinions about it.  It is often argued that the death penalty should be abolished because it loses their Survival Right.  However, in my opinion, I think we should use the death penalty. To the criminals, they don’t deserve the choice because they had hurt others’ spirit and lost their rights.  Some people think that we can give them an opportunity of turning over a new leaf and making up for the mistakes they had made.  Nonetheless, I consider that using the death penalty can control the behavior of the public, reduce the crime rate, and identify with the victims. Although many people insist that we often abuse the death penalty and don’t know the standard, which may bring about a lot of broken family. Nevertheless, I think that if the convicts can respect life and learn the importance of it, they won’t hurt innocent people.  It is for all the above-mentioned reasons that I believe go on using the death penalty is the best punishment for criminals.
