Family Background - revised

My name is Doris.  I have five members in my family. There are my parents, grandmother and elder brother.  When I was a child, my father is seldom at home because he is a military officer.  Accordingly, he was pretty strict with me.  He always tells me, “You should have a sense of responsibility. “  try to follow what he always reminds me.  He is the model whom I quite respect in my mind once and ever.  My mother, a housewife, always takes care of the whole family.  My elder brother is a Junior and studies at Management Information System. To pay his tuition, he has to do part-time jobs.  My grandmother, who is always generous to me is just stay home.  I'm so glad to have such a harmonious family in my wonderful life.

School Life

I studied at Department of Applied Foreign Languages, National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School (NTCVS).   Since I commenced learning English, I am quite interested in it. While studying English, I can gain a sense of achievement.  Moreover, in addition to English, I am also eager to learn more foreign languages such as Japanese, Spanish, Korean, and so on.  This prompts me to learn more about foreign languages and the desire to travel to other countries.  As the following, that’s the reason why I chose English as my major. 

To strengthen my competence in English, I study the textbooks, listen to English music, read English magazines, and watch Hollywood movies.  In my high school, English instructors also give students some exams, including listening, reading, and oral tests, which could not only examine our English abilities but also trains us the bravery for performing in front of our classmates.  I feel an immerse gratitude to my teachers and classmates.
